Welcome to the Farm
Wardwell is on beautiful Bainbridge Island, Washington on a small farm surrounded by forest with trails, garden beds, goat paddocks, a chicken coop, a pickleball court, an art studio, swings and stream. The farm offers the kind of old-school, outdoor beauty that invites you to slow down. Just a short ferry ride from Seattle, it feels both tucked away and easy to reach—a place where nature and community meet.

Our Spaces
From the stream, to the pickleball court to the art studio there is something for everyone

A small trail system through the woods at the back of the property leads you to the stream. At the stream we build fairy houses and play hide n’ slink.

A makeshift pickleball court was assembled on top of the old base for horse stalls. Bainbridge Island is known for being the home of pickleball.

Club Nettle is a tree fort located at the start of our forested trails. Made by the campers themselves the structure has swings, ladders and slides.

At Wardwell we have a walk-in chicken coop connected to chicken forest. In both spaces campers are able to hold, feed and learn about the chickens and how to care for farm animals.

The garden beds planted each year in collaboration with kids and the community is a space to learn about what we are able to grow in the PNW and the importance of local produce.

Potion Cafe was built in response to Wardwell’s summer campers’ love to create strange, garden-picked, mixtures and mash them together with mortars and pestles in our potion cafe and mud kitchen. In these spaces kids are encouraged to dream up menus made of mud and herbs.
